Avengers: Doomsday Teaser Unites Black Panther, Namor, and the Fantastic Four
Marvel Studios has dropped another tantalising teaser for Avengers: Doomsday, and it may be the most revealing glimpse yet of what the Multiverse Saga has in store. The fourth teaser brings together some of the MCU’s most powerful and unpredictable forces, uniting Wakanda, Talokan, and the Fantastic Four in a crossover that hints at universe-shattering consequences.
After last week’s teaser reignited excitement with nods toward the X-Men, this new footage widens the scope even further. Fans are treated to the return of Shuri as the Black Panther, the re-emergence of Namor, and the surprise appearance of Ben Grimm — better known as The Thing — marking a significant moment in Marvel’s evolving multiverse narrative.
The Return of Wakanda and Its Heroes
The teaser marks the first on-screen appearance of Letitia Wright’s Shuri since Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in 2022. Now fully established as the Black Panther, Shuri appears alongside key Wakandan figures, including M’Baku and the Dora Milaje, signalling that Wakanda will once again play a central role in the fate of the universe.
Also returning is Winston Duke as M’Baku, whose presence alongside Shuri suggests a united Wakandan front as new threats emerge.
Namor’s Comeback and Rising Tensions
Equally significant is the return of Tenoch Huerta as Namor, the ruler of Talokan. Introduced as both antagonist and anti-hero, Namor remains one of the MCU’s most complex characters. His appearance alongside Wakandan forces immediately raises questions about alliances, rivalries, and uneasy truces.
Given Namor’s long-standing comic-book ties to the Fantastic Four, his inclusion in a teaser featuring Ben Grimm feels especially deliberate.
The Fantastic Four Enter the Multiverse
Perhaps the most surprising reveal is Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing. This marks the first time a member of the Fantastic Four has been shown interacting with characters from the main MCU timeline in Avengers: Doomsday marketing.
What makes this moment particularly important is the multiversal implication. Marvel has already established that the Fantastic Four exist in a different universe from the MCU’s Sacred Timeline. Seeing Ben Grimm cross paths with Wakandan characters strongly suggests reality-hopping will be a core component of the film’s story.
Notably absent, however, are the other three members of the Fantastic Four — Reed Richards, Sue Storm, and Johnny Storm — leaving fans speculating about where they are and when they will appear.
A Multiverse on the Brink
The teaser reinforces that Avengers: Doomsday will lean heavily into the concept of interdimensional travel. With the MCU firmly entrenched in the Multiverse Saga, the collision of characters from different realities feels inevitable — and increasingly dangerous.
Despite the new footage, much about the film remains shrouded in mystery. Fans are still waiting for a first proper look at Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., whose casting alone has set expectations sky-high.
Familiar Creators Return
Behind the scenes, Avengers: Doomsday reunites Marvel with trusted creative forces. The film is directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, the duo responsible for Infinity War and Endgame. Script duties are handled by Stephen McFeely, further strengthening confidence that the film will balance spectacle with character-driven storytelling.
Countdown to a Multiverse Event
With less than a year to go until release, anticipation around Avengers: Doomsday continues to build. The film is set to hit cinemas on 18 December, positioning it as Marvel’s next major holiday blockbuster.
While the teaser answers few concrete questions, it succeeds in raising the stakes. By uniting Black Panther, Namor, and the Fantastic Four, Marvel is signalling that Avengers: Doomsday will be a true convergence event — one that could redefine the MCU’s future as realities collide and heroes from across the multiverse finally stand side by side.
